The tail end of hurricane Beryl is sweeping through my part of the world. Though we’re getting rain, it’s not nearly the torrential downpour or cumulative amounts that were initially forecast. For a grey day I decided on a favourite wildcard workhorse - a thrifted Hawaiian shirt. Since it’s less warm than it’s been, and I felt the need of a topper - a tropical weight wool blazer. This piece was thrifted earlier in the summer, but needed all its buttons replaced. I sent it to the dry cleaners to be spruced up, and it’s been on a three day trip to Ottawa and out to bridge night - though generally the weather has been too hot to need toppers.

Thanks for looking!
