A small NYE gala at the local golf club provided an opportunity to wear a ball skirt (thrifted) and some other garments from my closet. I wasn’t sure if the venue would be warm or cold, so I wore the Louben topper (thrifted) over the mesh t. The ‘bra’ under the t is actually a Wolford bikini top I picked up for $9, because there was no matching bottom.

I’d guess a third of the women wore full length dresses, and two thirds wore midi/tea length. Lots of simple shapes and sequins, silver and gold. Some lace. Lots of black. Some men wore tuxes, but most wore suits. It was a ‘mature’ crowd - so quiet and relatively dignified for a NYE party - which worked for me!
