I love this! Those boots are beautiful! And the dark outfit with the soft pink lipstick is brilliant! I almost want to change out of the skirted leggings I'm wearing right now so I can try out the deep cuff!!

I really like this! It's a gorgeous streamlined silhouette and I find the dark tones with your fair skin and hair just so striking. I have never liked cuffed jeans before but done this way on a slim/skinny jean really works. You seem to have hit your stride Lisa and are obviously feeling fab cos it shows:)

I love this look on you! The short jacket is so fabulous, especially with the very fitted jeans. It feels like a retro silhouette, but modernized. Love it. And I really want those boots!!!

Love those boots and your outfit is gorgeous! I always love an all dark streamlined look for fair blondes. Earings also meaningfull.
I do wear my mid blue jeans in spring and fall exactly like shown, only with a pair of tan suede booties(which are similar to your black ones here---and tan knee highs:-)). Then, I have some black waxed jeans which I wear in winter with the exact same tan suede booties but with black knee highs.
Men usually match socks to the shoes so it is always safe to emulate. But I feel that choosing my knee highs like above am achieving a low contrast longer, elongating legline for each season, with the same booties. But agree, for bitter colds, knee highs are not an option. And to be frank, I think cropped pants and slim booties would also not make for it!:-)

You look brilliant in this. Love every single item!

thank you, thank you. this outfit finally showed me why i've been having trouble with this cropped jeans and boot look…while my boots are high shaft, they aren't as high as these. really need a higher pair….

anyway, YLF!

You look fantastic. I wouldn't change one thing. Your hair is killing me (in a good way, lol). I've been going through major hair angst and you're pushing me toward going shorter again. You just look awesome (including that lip color!).

Splendid. That shearling coat is killer. I bet you could wear that for another 15 years.

Great look.
February People StyleWatch had similar looks. Boyfriend jeans with a big cuff. I couldn't find it on their website, so I took these with my phone.
You've inspired me.

This looks wonderful, Lisa. As do you (loving that hair as well!). Good to see a WIW again, I've missed them :).

I wore skinny jeans rolled like this yesterday, but didn't roll them up as high. I will definitely try them more like this next time, it looks great. I agree it looks better than scrunched.

And you just reminded me to add "jeans" to my grocery list! Are these the JF ones?

Fabulous!

You look wonderful here ! Casual warm and comfortable...

Love your Makeup and hair- and NO it does not look frosted- Fantastic look. Very up to date.

My DD wears her pants like this with socks and salt water boots. She loves those Sperry's. I think this look is better though- a bit dressier.

EP - no, these are Current Elliots. The JF ones are called mid-rise slim fit in a very dark plain wash. They are nice and long and make a good deep cuff that stays nice and crisp. $19.00!! Why not? I know it's as bad as buying crap from Walmart, but at least JF has signed agreements to have a their clothing made in certified facilities that support workers properly.

Thirkellgirl - thanks for the hair comment. I have a 'thing' or personal fear of having the same haircut as the prevailing style for 50+ year old women, and am often changing the style according to what is NOT popular at the moment. I had the bangs grown out to a long front, but just couldn't stand looking at it coming and going on every middle-aged woman out there. So I cut it myself in the bathroom last week . It drives my stylist nuts. Because I'll change my mind again next week and add extensions in or something crazy.

Thanks anna, and yes approprio, I intend to wear this jacket for as long as it holds together

As a former Bobbi a Brown makeup artist, you've got it SO right with your hair and makeup! And I love the way you put the outfit together. So good on you. (Those boots! <3 )

Thanks mamavelveeta - BB is my favourite line!
