Happy Day YLFers!

This morning started with my wanting to play with the Elegantly Long Torso and Urban Prince look. I lay in bed last night thinking about Angies look in #10 and how I would pull pieces from my closet to put it together. This morning I put it on and FLOP the proportions of my black, white, and red pieces were all wrong. So, I had a little closet brainstrom...

I found I got more creative and adventurous as the session went on so I have posted my thoughts in chronological order. Well, except for #9 which is the gear look I actually wore out in the torrential rain today. FUNctional fashion there.

I wont be wearing #5 out of the house but will keep my other opinions to myself, for now. Looking forward to your thoughts!

ETA: The jeans are Levi's Mens 511 Skinny for those who might want to know. Can post other brand info at request but skipped it for brevity.

What fun to see all the different ways you've styled these jeans! My favorites are outfits #1, 2, 3, and 6.

Lovely! I really like 1, and 2. I think 3 would work better with the cropped blazer from 6. I love the color combo in 4, but it seems like it need s a red necklace or something to bring the red up top too? 6 is lovely, the jacket in 7 looks a big big?

And thanks for the brand info - I really must get myself a pair of red jeans that fit well!

I got chilly at home so popped on this cobalt sweater, please ignore the house shoes. Make that 10 ideas for these jeans.

Amiable -- I like the idea of the stripe top under the cropped black denim blazer (shown in 6).

#1 is my fav, and i am really drawn (perhaps not in a good way?) to the odd (too big?) proportion in #7. But I really like most all of them (except 5). I really like red and turquoise so it must be the hoddie cardi thing that is ruining it for me here.

I like you in the cobalt top you posted later, although I would pair it with a white shirt instead of the orange/coral.

You are Queen Remix! First, I love the pants, and I breaking a commandment by coveting the oxfords. 1 and 2 are my favorites, but all are excellent. I think the pin striped blazer and T-neck would be amazing with a pencil skirt or black trousers, in addition to the red here. What about keeping the red jeans and pairing this look with black pumps? (because I need to take those oxfords).

A great styling session! Another vote for #1-4 and #7, all fab. I have worn a similar color combo to #5 and quite like it, but I do think that would look much cheekier with a cropped jacket/cardigan in the aqua. #6 needs a longer white shirt to my eye, and possibly the animal print loafers

@ Angie, as always, I appreciate so much when you take the time to give your expert opinion. I am kind of thrilled you liked #7.

@ Suz -- The jacket is white leather , brand is Wilson's Leather Maxima. It is a new addition (just thrifted it Monday) that has got me really excited.

@ Aida -- I have a longer white shirt, but it had french cuffs and so i usually dont take the time to wear it. I guess I should! #6 add loafer with the white and black ... check! I have a cheekier turquoise jacket but it is darker, I might give it a go and see.

@ Beth Ann -- you cannot have the oxfords as I dont have own pumps (black or otherwise) and cannot go out barefoot in such fabness. Like the pencil skirt idea, will try that one soon with the jacket.

ETA: I actually found this exercise in mixing and examining fits and cuts to be much more useful than going shopping trying to find things on my "list". This is a good lesson for me!

This is so inspiring! I'm adding this thread to my favorites to come back to for ideas. My favorite is #2. Thank you for sharing your work.

I have a pair of reddish orange cords that I need to wear more often... I'm just getting used to the idea of coloured pants, this would be a fantastic exercise for me to try too. So thanks for the inspiration!

I also vote #2 as my fav.
