WIMW: New slouchy silk pants

So these are the new Eileen Fisher slouchy silk pants.
This is a quick styling: I just threw on a sweater and some oxfords, but I kind of like it.
Sorry the pictures aren't better- I didn't have very good light, and it's always so hard to show details of black clothes.
This is not a K/R- I'm keeping them, but I would welcome styling ideas.
I think they'd look good with heels, but I wanted to see if they'd work with oxfords, since I'm leaving for Paris next week and I want to be able to walk a lot. Does this work?
Any comments, styling suggestions are welcome.

AAAAAAAAH! I am so sitting on my hands to not order these in grey! You look fantastic in every way. I didn't realize the cuff had a zipper - that's cool too. I think these are more unexpected with oxfords; heels are the obvious thing to wear, but also not as fun for that reason.

These look fabulous! I really like them with oxfords, although I'm sure they'll look great with heels too. I feel like these don't require too much styling, because they can really shine in a simple outfit. They'd work great with a semi-tucked or tucked shirt, or a high-low top. I can see these working with too many things to list them all.
I can just see you wearing these pants in Paris!

I think you might just NEED them in gray!
I'm sorely tempted, too. The only thing is that I don't suppose they'll be very warm. I'm wondering how they'll be for walking around outside this time of year, and I'm not even in Alaska! I wonder if you could wear tights under them, or if they'd cling to them.

I. Want. These. I mean - I really, really want these. They look GREAT on you! I really like them with the oxfords - perfect for walking around Paris.

Wow, yes, you nailed a perfect styling on try 1! Those oxfords are super cool and bookend the shirt exactly. I would want some of those but that cuff at the bottom is turning me off. I know they are supposed to be track pants, which of course have cuffs!
Guess poison eye for wearing them myself. So extra amazed at how great you look in them!

I don't think you need styling suggestions as this looks brilliant. The pants are perfect on you. Can you link to them? I'd love to check them out.

The Oxfords look amazing and a heel or booties would look equally fab.

I could see a semi tuck silk blouse or a hi low topper also.

Rute, thanks for the compliment on my hair. I had worked in surgery with a cap over it all day, so I was afraid it looked all smashed down and awful!

They look super! I wasn't tempted with the others because polyester and I aren't too friendly but silk! That tempts me a lot.

Oooh, nice! I may have to order myself a pair too. After all, the Leith pants will be unwearable once it's hot ... and frankly, these are a bit more elegant too, at least on you.

OH GOOD GRIEF!!! These are GORGEOUS on you Parsley! You've styled them beautifully and they will work with several types of footwear IMO - oxfords, pointy toe flats, booties, sandals, heels...you name it.

So now I need to know - did you get your regular size? Would they work on someone only 5'1"? Oh my....I'm feeling faint looking at these....

I know we talked about the Leith ones, which didn't work for me at all, even though they are so very similar to these. I can't totally put my finger on why I like these so much more, but I do. I got my regular Eileen Fisher size, which is medium, although in other brands I would usually wear a large.
I think they would work for someone your height- they would just have more slouch in the legs, but wouldn't need hemming because of the ribbed cuff at the bottom.

Ooh - these are GORGEOUS on you! Really wonderful. I think they look perfect with the oxfords (which I also love). Now I really want a pair, too...I wonder if anyone other than Nordstrom's will be carrying them, ie. if Shannon and I can find a Canadian source.

I think you should try a larger-volume top as well--maybe in a light fabrication similar to the Saks photo, but doesn't have to be all the way to a tunic. You have the height and shoulders to carry it off.

how tall are you, or rather what is your inseam? i want to get these or similar pants but at 5,2 with a short inseam, i"m a bit leery of getting pants like these since alterations will mess with the shape!

also, are you an IT or an hourglass? i have a pear shaped problem as well with these pants.
