WImightW - fun juxto or just kooky?

I am going to walk up to brave the post office finally. It's around 60 degrees, so I thought I'd pull out one of my long sleeves. Somehow the black leather look top with the ikat jeans and the studded sneaks just seemed overkill. Too much. Maybe with my black ballet flats, but the sneaks are more comfy for the walk.
Then I had the idea of grabbing the much more classic button front and tossed it on. It will work with the flats, no problem, but does it play nicely with the studded hi tops?

And this brings to mind why I'm looking for 1" to 2" black booties.

Hmmm, I would prefer black flats with the white top but comfort trumps all if you have to walk. Great pants!

I think the shirt works great with the pants! I'm not crazy about the sneaks with the pants but recall my minimalist tendencies. Comfort trumps all...and you need to get those steps in! (Loving my Fitbit so far...it is addicting.)

I don't love the sneakers with the pants, either for proportions or "pattern" (the studs are reading as another pattern to me)/colour mix. How do the sneakers work with your white jeans?

I like the pants with the sneakers. Fun and I think the pattern mix works plus the proportions are flattering. The shirt works too but I would probably choose a plain white tee to minimize some of the lines and busyness of the bottom half. #2 is perfect for aforementioned reason.

Well, for better or worse, I wore it. And I was hot by the end of all the walking, so the synthetic leather look shirt would have been way worse.
Thanks for the input - I do see how some things brought up don't jibe perfectly with each other. I think some other options could have worked better, but I have very little of my winter wear here so I sometimes go with what I've got and call it good enough. I'm also a bit hesitant putting the pattern pant with the busy shoe, but my only options here of walking shoes (not sandals) is these or the flats. Period. I was sorely tempted to wear my white pants, but BF isn't a huge fan of the ikats so I thought I'd wear them not on a day out together. By the by, I think the pants in and of themselves stick out around here way beyond any top or shoe I might put with them lol!
In the future, I will keep with very simple accompaniments with these

I hear you on the limitations. Again, I like the shoes with the pants. It is pretty warm here too, in the 60s but the overnight lows drop down to 26.
