I’m pleased as punch with this little project and thought I would post a few pics. I don’t know how to crochet, but I found this knitting pattern for a tote that looks very much like a straw bag. Since it is yarn, added advantage is no scratchy bits to watch out for.
I used leftover fabric from an upholstery project to make the lining. I had a few false starts with it, but I managed to complete it within a week.
Now I’m trolling the internet in search of handbag patterns!
