I can't imagine a person thinking of a Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress as 'trashy.'

While I hear you on the Rectangle-ish Shape in a Wrap thing, I think you look *really* good in the dress.

[I can't help with the opinionated husband, though, unless my passing along a photo of a patchwork dress that includes a jaguar print will make him see how sedate the DVF is, thus convincing him to convert.]

The shoes do look great with it, but -- as someone who has had pro and DIY shoe stretching I can say the stretched pairs never end up being as comfortable as I'd wish. And the piping seems like it will resist molding to your foot.

Thanks everyone for the shoe advice & compliments on the dress. Lyn posted a pic of Kate Middleton in leopard & i also found online an article about 3 women wearing the same leopard coat to Kate & William's wedding. If it was once trashy, it isn't now. I did also find articles saying leopard is too sexy, attention seeking, and even cougarish for a wedding or for anything. So I can be fashion forward & wear it or I can worry aboutthe grandmothers & my MIL according to DH.

I think the dress is very flattering and wouldn't call the black and white print a leopard print.
