I’m not much of a puffer wearer (sorry Rachy). My climate doesn’t justify it. But I do find lightweight puffer jackets useful for wet or windy days in winter.

We’ve had some very wet weather, so I broke out the puffer jacket that I bought at the end of winter last year. I like the abstract pattern. It looks like rusted metal or one of Monet’s later paintings. Patina! It had (fake) fur trims, but I removed them.

I wore it with a green thumb hole jumper and fine corduroy jeans that are like velvet. The jeans look black in the photo but they are actually dark green. A few shades darker than the jumper. Dark green (and teal) velvet are BIG weaknesses for me. These are straight leg jeans but they fit more like a skinny on me (most straight legs do). Much as I like my long baggy jeans, I find slim fit styles more practical for wet weather.

My mum made me the beanie. She was thrilled with the match with my jacket.
