Still coming off a high from spending the day at the mini-meetup in Seattle. Yesterday I was excited to try on what I purchased. No styling and thrown on after a workout so hope I don't scare you there.
First is a JCrew linen blend pullover that Angie suggested I try on. I love the weight of this and the mid-length sleeves. She suggested it would look great with my black pantaloon shorts - and of course she was right!!! Here they are, paired, and I absolutely love the pairing. These will get wear right through the early fall around here. I've really tended to pair the shorts with loose tanks, so this will be great!
Second is a pair of Hudson relaxed cuffed skinnies that I grabbed on a whim from The Rack. I wasn't shopping for jeans since I did a denim inventory last week and hit 23 pair.... Anyways the glowing positive reaction I got from Angie when I walked out of the changeroom was enough to send me running to the cash register to purchase them! They are cuffed at this length, but I can easily roll again for a BF look, or leave them like this for booties. They are sized up and feel wonderfully loose. I am happy with the colour and I know they will get a ton of wear. To keep up with the inspirational closet-cleaners around here I selected a another pair to purge when I hung these in my closet...one in one out
The blue sweater is one of three that I picked up at the Vince outlet on the way home. I've shied away from blue tops for so long, but I think it kinda looks good. It's a great casual cotton and I know I'll wear it a ton. I also picked up a purple cashmere pullover with a sort of loose open cable weave on the back, and an ink blue boatneck fine guage knit pullover. Joining the blue brigade and loving it! Purged two older cheapie pullovers as these joined my closet - felt FAB!!!
What do you think? I'm so happy to have a couple of mementos from the happy meetup
