I've said in the past that buying trousers that are dry clean only is a deal breaker for me - can't be bothered with the hassle or expense of not being able to wash my pants. Well that all changed today.
My hubby and I checked out Bay Days (a big semi annual sale at The Bay) and I spotted these black watch plaid trousers from Lord & Taylor. They were on a HUGE discount. Hubby loved them right away (he's a sucker for plaid) and suggested I try them on. I fell in LOVE instantly!
The fabric is a delicious wool blend and they feel amazing on. The drape is divine. They have real leather trim on the front and back pockets and a leather yoke around the waist. When I mentioned to hubby about the dry clean only issue he quickly stated "anything that looks this good on you is worth the dry cleaning". That was it - I paid the mere $53 and brought them home.
Here are some very quick stylings (pardon the lack of make up or hair - this was significantly later in the day after finishing our yard raking). These will work with black, navy, white and my green cashmere sweater. I even tried it with my dark green velvet blazer.
Let me know what works for styling and what doesn't - and any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I have over exposed the pics so you can see more detail in the dark clothing. They also need hemming so I have just cuffed them once.
