Love and adore the pants. I had a pair of trousers very very similar way back when. I love a blue green and black plaid. AT has a pair of cropped trousers I've been eyeing and this makes me want to take the plunge. I love how you've shown the versatility of this print. I love these on you. it's been my experience that I don't feel the need to clean wool pants or skirts all that often because I don't wear them often, which is a function for me of having a big closet to choose from. These are kind of statement pants so you won't wear them every other day like you might with black trousers, for instance. Except for the leather trim, you could try the freezer trick to refresh them, but I would be hesitant due to the leather. Often, it's the rayon content that induces me to dry clean garments. It's not totally nor reliably stable when washed.

Claire - it's funny you mention my tops because I realized when I got these home how my collection of tops and jackets is really serving me well these days. It was so nice to just be able to pull these out of my closet and make so many outfits.

Angie - yes, I did notice that My wardrobe seems to be becoming more cohesive. Here I was all capsule "phobic" and yet I seem to be doing that anyway - lol!

I would love some plaid pants, but I think I need low-contrast ones like these, and I want them in full length, not cropped. This appears to be a tall order, since I've not seen anything fitting that description. You have me motivated to keep looking though.

Based on my long-ago nearly-forgotten mostly-dry-clean lifestyle, I'm guessing you'll get many wearings out of these between cleanings. And they're so worth it!

Love all these combos! Great trousers. If you make sure you air them after wearing they should not need dry cleaning too often. It's bad for your clothes to dry clean too much.

Oh I am so looking forward to seeing these - only 2 more days! I always love your outfits and this one sounds especially nice. I avoid clothes that have to be dry cleaned also, but perfect pants are worth it.
