WIB: New Shoes Yay/Nay ETA Outfit Photos Added

Hi Ladies,

ETA: Added outfit photos as requested. Feeling a little uninspired but hopefully this will give you an idea of how I would wear them. Note I have only styled the neutral pair as the black seem to be considered ok.

ETA: added pic of the grey blue, but don't think this would be as versatile.

I have wanted something similar. I would love to have bought the Boutique 9 but I am just too cautious about ordering from overseas.

So I came across these online yesterday. They are similar but different but they met my criteria. Light color, low heel, extremely comfortable and have coverage... even in the warm weather I like a shoe with good coverage and I am particularly fond of an open toe or peep toe.

BUT my concern is this... i have never worn 'perforated' shoes before. I have for some reason always associated perforated shoes with old lady shoes

What do you think? As you can see I did also buy the black version (my black shooties may not have another season in them).

So your thoughts are much appreciated. Are they keepers?

I like them a lot in black. I do see what you mean about the lighter ones, but I think you should post a whole body shot, because on you I think they will read more fab than frump.

These are great, Deborah. I wouldn't have thought about the perforations seeming "old". These seem like the perfect summer shoe and fun with shorter skirts pants jeans or even walking shorts. Keep!

I like them - I think for you and given the high vamp, I would pick the nude (leg-lengthening, bookending).

Are these pikolinos? They remind me of them, if not. Anyway, I think they're great, and I have no old-lady associations.

I like what I see and I like them in a light color. The remind me a bit of my nude wedge sandals which were real workhorses last summer and bumped any outfit up a notch.
And perforation will be a cool factor in summer heat!

I know what you mean about perforated shoes but I don't get that vibe from these. The colour is more modern and the sip up the back is cool. I think you will get lots of use out of these. They look very soft.

I am not automatically against perforations, far from it, but these definitely read old lady to me. Real old lady. Sorry.

I think I'd vote nay on these - I'm sort of against the whole perforated look; so please take my words with a grain of salt!

I think the heel-shape banishes any 'old lady' vibes, and I actually prefer them in the nude colour- more Summery feel.

Thank you so much for your honesty. It seems there is a relatively even split of opinion here. I have quickly thrown on a couple of outfits to demonstrate how I see the shoes working. Let me know what you think:)

I love high-vamp summer shoes, but I'm not loving the yellow tone of the nude against your rosier skin tone (at least in my monitor), and the black, while I like them better, aren't appealing to me as much as a lot of the footwear in your wardrobe (that I love). That said, if they're comfy and you love them, I know that you will make them shine with your styling abilities!

Hmmm- I think Beth Anne has a point here.
How do they look with lighter colours? Do you intend to wear with mainly black?
Given your outfit choices in the added pics I am back-pedalling and thinking that the black might be a better option?

Beth Ann and Lyn that is a very good point. Yes they are more yellow based and I don't do yellow! I think this is a deal breaker. I'm inclined to keep the black though. I think these came in a grey too, I might return and see if there were any other lighter options.

I was thinking the same as Beth Ann but couldn't have put it in such good words. For me too, it's the shade of the light ones that bother me. It seems you're a "cool" lady and these are "warm", if you know what I mean. The perforation, however, did not foment any old lady evocation to me. However, I do agree the black ones have a "younger" vibe.

looking at the light shoes alone, i thought the shoes were a big nothing. but seeing them styled with the all black outfit, i thought wow! with the skirt, i thought they were ok.

Krish you are right! I do cool so much better than warm. I couldn't see it until Beth Ann mentioned it:)

I really love them with the last outfit, but I would love them even more if they were dove grey!

I think grey ones would be perfect in your summer wardrobe. Maybe you will get lucky!! I agree with the others that they are a bit on the yellowish side IRL, although they definitely look like your style.

I really enjoy the the look of perforated shoes. The one pair I have I wear often and they are one of my favs. They are black though, but I'm a confirmed lover of everything black.. I prefer the black on you here as well. The nude colour seems a bit off. Love your outfits here, you have great style!

Interesting - I don't find them yellow at all but almost more of a silver sheen. I actually really like them on you Deborah. It might be a colour that just doesn't translate well in a photo? How do you like them?

The nude colour look more summery and go well with skirts or brighter/lighter coloured pants. I don't like them with the black pants but prefer them with the skirt.

I like the light but the tone is throwing me off - they look warmer than the colors you usually wear, and I'm not one to notice such things normally.
