I found Inge’s post yesterday very inspiring!

I drank from the oversized b/w vest koolaid last fall and wore the combo with white shirt tucked in frequently. I did try the shirt untucked, but it felt too sloppy. Maybe my eye is adjusting…but I quite like the shirt untucked under the vest.
Not sure which look I prefer once I add my coat. Somehow it seems with the shirt untucked, there’s a bit too much going on? What do you lovely ladies think?

So cute! Love the chartreuse coat and floral bag in there.

I’ve accepted that I can’t do untucked—it just looks sloppy on me, at least to my eye. I prefer this outfit on you with the shirt tucked in, but maybe that’s just my prejudice showing through. I’m no help at all.

With the addition of the coat the tucked version looks more pleasing to my eye - proportionally speaking. But both options look fun and fresh by itself - great for spring! Very cute bag .

I like tucked without the coat and untucked with, but this doesn’t seem a practical sort of like, lol. Honestly, it’s super all around!

i also like both versions, with the coat the tucked version definitely gives a more polished vibe, while the untucked version has more of a cool girl vibe

Really fab look. Love that vest with your jeans and stompy boots. I prefer the untuck, but I admit that is a look I do all the time. I feel like it softens the transition from top to bottom and keeps my backside covered.

Slight preference for tucked, just because I have a sugar eye for tops that end at that spot (low hip) vs. tops that hang just below the crotch point. But both look great and I love the crisp black and white with your coat!

SlimCat and Rachy, yes as soon as I put my coat and added a handbag my thoughts were the same as yours, proportions looked off.
Giggling at the thought of taking the coat off in public, then untucking the shirt…who knows where that would end!

Jonesy, top length is critical isn’t it? My sugar eye is high hip, I’ve recently shortened a few summer tops to that length hoping to get more wear out of them.
Thank you Stylefan! Have to admit ordering it online from the UK was a leap of faith, but sometimes you have to roll the dice.

Both tucked and untucked are soooo good, with and without that stunning coat. Love the chartreuse with the cream, black, white, and denim.

I also loved that vest from the minute I saw it, and you wear it incredibly well.

The crisp button-down with the more relaxed vibe of the rest of the pieces is also spot on!

That's a great ensemble, Merwoman ...and when it warms up a bit more, you could substitute a cream crewneck tee and when it cools down a cream or black poloneck would look smashing

I’m with Inge on loving the colour scheme - and THAT BAG! I like both versions of tucked and untucked, but like the tucked version just a smidge more when topped by the coat.

Carla that bag is one of my favs, and going on 5 years. They don’t wear particularly well; I’ve got a similar one in grey that is showing it’s age, but this black one has held up a lot better.
