For the fourth day, it’s completely white outside. We had ice Friday, then covered with 4” of snow Saturday, fog and frost Sunday and Monday. Nothing is melting yet, and the sky is as white as the snow. There is thankfully no wind, which is very unusual, also. It’s beautiful in a creepy sort of way. Reminds me of Dr. Zhivago’s relentless winter. We lost a couple of tree limbs, and never lost power, but others in town have suffered much more tree damage and power outages.

I’m looking for some color as a respite. Today I’m wearing a new plaid cotton (not flannel) shirt, Macy’s Charter Club, with old favorite jeans (Walmart Faded Glory), and oldish fleece vest (LLBean), plus turquoise Converse, which I think was my first pair (either these or the purple ones.) Also layered a pale gray long sleeved tee under the shirt. Great comfort outfit for a day of sewing and emailing.

Not sure what I’m going to do about my hair. It’s again gone past the too long stage, and I trimmed it myself, but... not ideal. I’ve gotten basic pixie cuts a few times this year, so I’ll probably get desperate and make an appointment this week or next.

P.S. Dear Angie, love the dark neutrals post, especially the gorgeous black and navy combo, but not for me today!
