Angie - *happily collects double killer rating* White is indeed lovely to sport year round.
SarahD8 - Thanks for the kind words and for looking!
Jenni NZ - Yes to both questions. As the name suggests Labor Day commemorates the contributions of the US workforce. But it is probably more popular for marking the last day of summer. The no white rule is from the Gilded Age when wealthy elite switched from summer wear to city wear.
merwoman - Thanks for the kind words and for looking!
slim cat - *high five for white and blue* I always adore that combination too.
kellygirl - I'm especially enjoying adding cognac accents to outfits lately, it is such a versatile color for an accessory.
Jaime - You have an excellent eye, the texture in the sweater is exactly why I chose to pair it with white jeans. Despite the all white look, the sweater adds visual interest because it's not a solid.
Jenni NZ - *high five for columns of white* I enjoy dressing in columns of color when the mood strikes.
Carol - Navy and white is indeed a summer color scheme, it has that nautical vibe to it. I would pair red with navy and white and blue both on fourth of July and non fourth of July days. It's a fun color combination. Also a bunch of sport teams use blue, red, and white so I consider it a year round combination.
