Which jeans silhouettes are you attracted to?

I've recently been thinking about buying a few pairs of jeans, so I've been looking at different silhouettes. Right now I'm attracted to high-rise jeans, especially with a button fly. I'm also attracted to released hems and raw hems, though I'm not looking for a lot of distressing otherwise. I'm still partial to skinnies, though I might get a pair of straight-leg crops.

I am looking at flares and bell bottoms! I won't be adding any more skinnies to my wardrobe, but will continue enjoying the ones I have.

I still love skinnies very much but I am craving dark jeans with white stitching. I can’t wait until they are in more shops - I want Boden to pick up on it especially!

I m with you on the wide leg button fly crops ,l already have a pair in my wardrobe waiting for the right jumper to come along.l m over skinnies,not comfortable on me so am looking for a pair of dark wash straight legs to replace them for tucking into boots.

I adore the high rises with or without button flies. I would like to find some full length jeans in dark wash that I can wear to work (no distressing). I am still partial to the skinny or tapered leg.

For casual, I love high rises with lots of distressing, released hems. I still prefer full length, but the leg can be straighter.

high rise with a straight or slighty wider leg....button fly and some kind of novelty leg treatment are an added bonus....and i still like the raw/unfinshed hem

I really like the mid rise and high rise with a cropped flare or wide leg. I have been wearing them with sandals and sneakers during the summer but will switch to a sock boot for fall/winter to keep my ankles warm. I am also looking for a pair of dark rinse baby bootcuts but so far nothing has been quite right.

Count me in on the high rise train. I've tried several pairs of Madewell--petite, regular, button fly, step hem and finally found a pair of JCrew high rise skinnies that fit the bill. I'd love a button fly but feel like that would be better suited for me as weekend wear. I'd also love a pair of higher rise bootcut but fit on those seems more challenging.

I am now enjoying high waist jeans as they can cover the hump in my lower abdomen (common women problem) and light fabric square pants.

I just have 3 pr skinnies, including one embroidered, but wear jeans rarely so dont feel any need to add. But, i like the bootcuts with the open sides. Not sure the rise on mine as i haven't worn them since probably April, but probably high since lower ones slide down!

Looking for a slight flare mid-rise right now but wondering if I can find the right length to wear with mostly flats (1" or so). Med. wash is usually what I go with so I don't have to deal with color transfer from the dark dyes. I did order one pair in a Petite length to see if that might work.

Currently my favs are high rise skinnies still wearing some mid rise skinnies. Love detailed bottoms, and have three pair. Nothing fancy like sequins or rufles, but just interesting bottoms. Since length is a problem with flares or bootcuts I am avoiding them for now. .Since I lost weight my BF's are too big so they are going out at my garage sale tomorrow. Am getting tired of rolling the bottoms, but will keep a couple of pair that will need a little cuff at the bottom to work with booties and sneakers. Otherwise will wear ankle length this winter.

Dreading the return of high rise. They make my bottom look like it goes on (or down) forever and ever.
I'd like a pair of dark rinse, no whiskers to point to wide hips, and straight leg. This seems hard to find in my size.
I'm kind of tired of the jeans dilemma altogether!

Definitely exposed button fly. And straight legs- but I always buy straight leg jeans, whether trending or not.

I'm on the higher rise, straight or wide or flared leg bandwagon. Cropped, or full length - I like both. But do you think I can actually find a pair in this apparently backwater city I live in? (that isn't in the premium price range) Even the GAP isn't into higher rise flares or wide legs here. It's skinnies everywhere. If i ever see a pair at a price I am willing to pay, I'll buy, but until then, I'll be classic in my relaxed skinnies ;

I've been rocking higher rises for a couple years, but mostly in tapered or cropped styles. Next I'd really like to find some classic bootcuts and maybe a pair of full-length wide-legs. Remember the old dark-rinse trouser jeans that BR and JCrew used to do so well? I'm hoping those make a comeback.

High rise straights have been my go-to jeans forever (nice job girdling tummy). Recently got my first skinnies and have been enjoying them. I've worn raw edge for 2 years now, but flares look fresh to me so I will add them if I can. My closet is actually a little jeans heavy and I would like to add non-jeans pants to my closet.

If I were shopping -- which I'm not -- I'd be looking for high-rise skinnies without distressing. I never did hop on the skinnies train because mid-rise didn't work for me in that style. High-rise I think I could do, though, with Madewell, Everlane and J.Crew all offering good possibilities.

I'm attracted to higher rises. Wide leg crops, or slim tapered or "mom" type jeans. But it's all in the personal fit and that means a lot of trial and error. The pictures never seem to tell the whole story!

I am very short waisted and thick, which greatly limits my choices. Back in the late 70's early 80's, I discovered that men's 501 Levi's fit me perfectly and were flattering. They have been a staple in my closet ever since and have probably been the biggest influence of my overall style.

Thankfully, Levi's has seen fit to integrate them into their women's line through customizing and boyfriend type cuts. That does give me a a few more options when I feel like wearing something a little different than I normally would.

Anyways, I am still attracted to the same jean I was 40 years ago. And, I just read an article that said straight leg mid-rise are on their way back in. So, I'll just think of myself as being 35 years ahead of the curve, lol.

It has been fun reading about everyone's denim crushes! I think it's exciting that there are so many options out there right now.

I was a little worried when high rises came back into style (I'm short waisted and have a larger bum), but I'm finding that if I get the right cut and style it properly, with the right top and right footwear, they can be very flattering.

I hope all of you who are hunting for specific cuts can find what you're looking for. Like some of you, I have particulars that I'm looking for, but finding something that fits properly and feels good has been challenging.

Loved your finds, Angie! The gold hardware is great. I hope to get a pair of high-rise flares in spring too.

I’m looking at higher rise jeans in straight cropped, not skinny styles which really don’t fit me well but I still like and are so practical. I will try full length, especially flares but they aren’t high on my list because I struggle with PPL.

High rise bootcuts.

I bought the bootcut chinos Angie has and love the color and style, but the chinos are mid-rise on me, and I'm only doing high rises. Long may high rises dominate the market! So I'm looking for black full-length bootcuts. I love flares too, and have two pairs in non-denim, so I'm considering purchasing denim flares, but won't sink a lot of money in them.

I still love and wear all my skinnies. I invested in a whole slew of them in a high rise over the last year, since a lot of my jeans were just worn out and I had to replace most of the heavy hitters. I can't imagine not having skinnies in my closet.

I’m reluctantly adopting some higher rises, but can’t do a truly *high* rise — I’m simply too short in the rise for it. I’ve tried on some jeans that are just comical in how long the rise reaches on me.

I love the look of those exposed button-fly jeans, but they make the most sense if you wear cropped tops or tuck tops, and sadly, I just don’t look good in that style. Especially since so much denim is cropped these days.

So it seems I’m attracted to styles that really don’t look good on me. I struggle with trendy denim because on me, simple and dark and elongating are much more flattering to slim my bottom half. Yawn. I can wear full length bootcuts well, so I guess that will be my “trendy” denim, even though it feels classic to me because it’s been my lifelong comfort zone in denim style.

Roomier cuts and mid to high rises for sure. I am so over skinnies, although I still have one pair that are still going strong- they’re easy to style and wear on mornings when I’m too tired or suffering the effects of a head cold (like now). Also, no distressing. I already have a few distressed pairs and am not interested in adding any more.
