I've been doing some homework and have narrowed down the sandal search. I'd love your opinion on what you think would be the most versatile for me. I'm looking for a casual sandal that will work with BF jeans, shorts and dresses/jumpsuit. I was trying to avoid really "gear" like sandals because I think my style needs a more polished shoe to balance my rather casual wardrobe. The top two are by Sanita. Barking Dog gave the Vana a glowing review (the top right.) The bottom two are Born and Fit Flop (with the tan footbed.)

Thank you!

Zappos is amazing! I got the sandals today and here's my report just in case any of you are in the market. The Born Belinda is a little too clunky for me. I think the color makes it look even more so than if it were a lighter color. The pitch of the sandal isn't very comfortable even though the heel is relatively low--it could also be that the front straps are a little loose and that combined with the slippery foot bed make me feel like I have to grip the shoe with my toes to walk. (Sounds weird but that's how it felt.)

The Sanita sandals are too big in terms of volume. Length seems good but I need more foot to fill them out. These will work better on a higher volume foot. The buckles are somewhat decorative--I can't cinch them tight enough to secure my feet so they are sliding all over the soles. The backstrap is especially loose. The Sanita Vani is a better fit but again, the velcro is as tight as it can go and it's just not tight enough. They also have a Teva vibe which I didn't get from the stock photos but I definitely notice once they were on my feet.

I decided to try the Born 'Yana' sandal too and those are also a no-go. I think those are suited to a higher volume foot too--they were hard to keep on my feet when walking. They kept wanting to slide off.

So the first installment of the black sandal search is a bust. I guess the FF are up next. Thanks so much for your opinions! I really appreciate it.
