Where are the sleek mid-calf boots for skinny legs?

I had a pair of zip-up mid-calf boots that fit my legs so well - they were some Italian brand from the consignment place. Unfortunately they fell apart after much use. I would give anything to find a replacement so I can do something with culottes, but they are a real HEWI. Lace-up boots are easier to find but feel too prim for me with a heel, which I think is needed for this look.

Has anyone seen this unicorn?

I have some by Valdini. I don't know if they fit skinny calves, cuz I don't have those, but they are stretch material in the back, so have a snug fit. I love this brand because they are 100% weatherproof, slightly warm, and look great. Perfect for a "real" winter. Might be worth trying to source to check out?

They don't exist. Or if they do, they are way off on another $ planet that I'm not willing to visit. I have skinny everything from the knee down too. As lovely as that is to have, lots of boots clunk around on me.

It seems like all boots made for skinny calves are pricey. Usually out of my budget range. Maybe you could have them custom made from that boot company that Angie was going to use (I can't remember their name)? I'm sure that's spendy too.

My rockport wedge total motion boots are a higher ankle boot and fit my fairly scrawny ankles as well as any other boot has yet. I also have a taller pair of Rockport tristiana and they are a slimmer calf too. May be worth a try.

And these are exactly what I'm looking for, only I need them to be $300 cheaper. I was going to gripe in my original post about how expensive this look seems to be, and apparently it really is.

After an exhaustive search for sleek tall shaft boots, I just ended up with Frye Courtney Zip Shorts. Mine were pricier than I wanted but in the US you can probably find them cheaper. They're a great height, sleek on the ankle and pass my poison eye for anything western (they look better in person than in the stock photos). I think they're on the mom edit list too.

The Opening Ceremony ones are perfect.

I like the Frye Patty in the linked post but they are a little less dressy.

Maybe in a month or so there will be more filter down at different price points.

I'm holding out for less expensive versions. Angie did a round up on the higher shaft booties but none of those ones hit all my own buttons. I guess the Aquatalia came closest but I would prefer not in black and also would like a mid heel vs. high or low.

For now I have my Zara neoprene top booties -- they are not as high as the newer versions but have a bit of that sock boot fit and are great. I still don't have the crop jeans or culottes anyway, so waiting probably won't hurt too much.

No , but I'm holding on to my 2 pairs ( black and brown) of Munros that are about 5" and narrow, though not nearly sock/ boots. They are a simple, smooth look and I will probably just work with them for some kind of interpretation this year.

Well, bring on the sock boots! That's exactly what I would be interested in--sleak fitting around the ankle and a low, comfortable heal (that reads high!) but is not flat (like you said, Suz). Is that asking too much? Evidently, yes!

I have been searching for a slightly refined mid calf boot also. Seen a few pairs that are out of my price range. I saw the Cole Haan tall boot in NYC this week. I liked them but they were just not exactly what I was wanting heel wise. I think I want more of a pointy toe and a block heel. Another problem I have is super skinny calves Perhaps I am looking for a unicorn.

Zara actually has some booties, too, but so far they all seem to have high heels -- too high for me.

I think more boots should be made with stretch panels! Seriously, with slim ankles but calves that seem to have grown from cycling (weird, because it seems they've grown more from that than from running!), I'm finding boot fit more challenging than I did in the past. That's part of why I jumped on the Stuart Weitzmans.

Those Opening Ceremony ones look great. Yeah, I think this look needs to trickle down into more affordable knockoff territory. I would think it would have wide appeal as it could accommodate those of us with slimmer OR more generous calves and ankles!

Cycling and running do build different muscles. Mountain biking added bulk to my calves, while running shaped them - not that either was all that noticeable, sadly.

Una - today M.Gemi came out with a gorgeous sleek "sock" boot. 2" heel and super elegant; but of course it's $350, I've never seen a promo, and only a few styles ever make it to clearance.

Hello my slim calved sistas! I was trying to replace my normal tall (knee) boots last year and searched forever...and never found a pair. As I was trying and trying my shoe guy (the only one I ever work with) at Nordstrom told me to find a slim calf boot, I'd have to go to designer, because they design with the slim woman in mind. (Don't know that I'm all that rich or skinny, but my legs are.)

Angie's suggestions for custom boots were good, but they were just as expensive. I actually stumbled upon a pair of Via Spiga otk boots at the Rack for $150. Maybe we all need to work on manifesting the slim calf boots, lol!

Anyway, Una I did find a pair of Franco Sarto booties end of season last year that seem to fit well, but I think the shaft is a lot shorter than what you want.
