When I lived in Seattle, my umbrella was plain black on the outside, with a bright blue sky and fluffy clouds underneath. There's something about having a happy umbrella on a rainy day, isn't there? (And it's definitely NOT true that Seattleites never carry them!)
I need a tutorial on umbrella management! I would be upping my fashion game if I actually used one, but what do I do with the wet, drippy thing after? Even if I put it inside a plastic bag, I still wouldn't want it in my purse or tote.
Sharan, I meant to add - good job remembering the painting from our challenges. I don't have a favourite source, but the umbrella has to be small and lightweight to fit into my bag. And look happy.
Firecracker - Try Bella Umbrella, a umbrella store here in Seattle - they also sell from their website. They are located near Pike's Market. If you use an umbrella in Seattle, it is like carrying a sign, I moved here or I am a tourist. ☔️☔️. I only use an umbrella in the evening going to events because my dressier coats don't have hoods (I moved here in 1999).
