PPL....The first thing I learned here, and had to toss a bunch of pants right off. But I am the better and more stylish for it. And never do I worry that some may Say.... Her pants are too short!!!
MAKE IT YOUR OWN! I think the biggest rule is finding ways to make looks and trends work for you personally. Of course, I occasionally copycat when I feel particularly inspired ;-P
Also, honesty, kindness, and constructive feedback.
I interpreted the subject as a forum rule, in which case I say be constructive, respectful and positive while checking your politics at the door.
If style, I say perfect fit, which includes ppl in my book.
RandomThoughts: close, but not quite. PPL stands for "perfect pant lengths," and it's one of Angie's pet issues. She has posts on this, but basically the rule states that most pants must just skim the ground when wearing shoes. Angie gets a bee in her bonnet when she sees people pairing high heels with pants that are only hemmed for flats. Skinnies are the exception to this rule, since they can't cover shoes.
Your VPL definition is right on.
Hope this helps!
