My husband and I were in NYC last week and decided to splurge and go to the Metropolitan Opera. Once he heard that people dress up for the opera, he insisted on bringing his tuxedo! I was afraid he'd be the only one but we saw more than a few other gents in tuxes.

And because it was going to be cold, I decided I needed to take my late mom's mink coat out for a spin. It's a tiny bit worse for the wear, but it's probably more than 50 years old and looking pretty darned good for its age! I wore my tall black boots because I didn't want to freeze, and I think they looked surprisingly good with my dressy dress!

Bonus pics of my cameo brooch (which I bought really cheap a few years ago for a YLF outfit challenge years ago: https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....enge-day-3!) and the amazing view from our box seats. (The show was La Boheme, which honestly isn't our favorite, but the whole evening was fabulous nonetheless.)
