jussie, thanks for your comment. I have been reading your posts regularly since you became a member. Look forward to them and your ideas. Just a little info about me you probably haven't picked up on yet (or maybe you have). I am eccentric as well as eclectic, and for sure the most indecisive person you will ever have any contact with!
Because I am so indecisive I try to have a second outfit in place for anywhere I go so if I change my mind at the last moment I am prepared.
So, oddly enough before my first post I had pulled out a large piece of emerald green fabric (looking at it right now). Now for the eccentric part--- I bought it at Wal-Mart and wore it as a cape for a Halloween program for young children in day car and pre-school. We did the Wizard of Oz (nothing scary, no witches costumes, etc were permitted) I dressed the part of the manicurist holding a Siamese cat and wearing the emerald green cape. Our group passed out treats to the children.
This is the same group of people attending the Chinese New Year luncheon, so I am hoping to come up with something different (keep reading my replies to others on YLF who commented on my thread). So, there is a possibility I may wear the emerald green as you suggested with different clothes, otherwise. It helps with my indecisiveness when someone else suggests something. At least I don't feel like I am too far out with my ideas, although sometimes, I know I am. lol
Rachy Lou, Bless you. You are so cute! I know I am older than your Mom. Wonder what she would suggest for me? Keep me posted on what you wear and your Mom also.
I was thinking along the lines of red and gold. I have a red moto jacket, faux leather, textured. And I have a pair of gold pants with same color (gold) with swirly pattern on them. Kinda shiny, don't know if they are considered waxed or not. I love both of them, but there might be too much texture and/ or pattern . My red headed aunt died about 30 years ago at age 90 and I inherited two antique jade rings (one with sterling and one with gold) from her. And about the same time I found a smaller pinky jade and gold ring, I went to a lot of effort to locate owner, but never did, so you get the picture I have three jade rings. I have never cared much for jade jewelry ( so never worn either of them) but I am now cleaning and polishing them and intend to wear as well as three red rings. One, I dearly love, antique, small pinky ring, filigree with tiny ruby chip center, my son gave me worn a lot, and two other sterling rings with red stones.
Going to send this now before I lose it. More to follow in another post.
