What really sparks joy now

My ootd is definitely not what I would have envisioned last year for "dress up for Angie's 50th birthday"! Truthfully, I couldn't really think of anything I'd want to wear that really sparks joy anymore.

Before WFH, I relied on my daily outfits to make me happy. Something pretty in my windowless grey office. I didn't often have time to enjoy the natural beauty around me.

So- ootd is gear, but it allows me to enjoy the things that really matter!

Makes sense. When I worked in an office there were many days when the best part of the day was dressing up in something nice. I still enjoy dressing up from time to time but, like you, I’m also enjoying much more time with nature and with my loved ones (including pets). And not spending so much time at a desk.

What sparks joy has definitely changed for so many of us. As the pandemic connects us across the globe, I find my own world getting much smaller and I am grateful for the opportunity to sift through what is really and truly important. When the world is ready to reopen and safety is not in the front of my brain, there are several things that I just don’t think are going to get added back into my life.

Your surroundings and your pets spark joy. You have a great place to carpe diem!

Thanks all from me, Maya and Angelo I highly recommend being quarantined with kittens!
When it cools off to 80 later, the outfit will include my bow, arm guard, finger guard, and quiver! And bug spray....And after dark my glow poi

Love the photos of your kitties!
We spend a LOT of time out doors these days . We power walk through beautiful mountains and amazing streams , lakes and a beautiful river , all literally minutes from our house. Life is a lot more casual these days . I miss dressing up as much , but love being out doors !
I’m glad that you have found joy in all the chaos that’s going on !

Love the pics of your kitties. My husband and I have been spending more time outdoors kayaking, bike riding and playing tennis. Although the Seattle weather has been a bit disappointing with some drizzly rain, we have been able to picnic on the beach and watch the sunset. Despite the many challenges of 2020, it has allowed me to recharge and refocus. Right now, my husband and I are on Lopez Island WA, our happy place. I miss dressing up but would I trade it for wearing gear and being in a place I love? Absolutely not! Alas, we must return to the big city on Wednesday.

You are truely in a beautiful place. Enjoy. Paint the ceiling of your office sky blue. Your office could be a powerful and protective forest with natural wood and house plants. Hang a humming bird feeder outside your office window.

I can't find anything that sparks joy right now either. Work is dirty (fruit and veggies are MESSY), so that is for clothes I won't cry over. Even off duty, I can't find joyous clothes. It's this heat; even my lightest linens are too oppressive.
I wish I lived somewhere as green and lush as where you live

You could Cindy, since your house is portable
But it's green cause the humidity. That's what I tell DH when he complains. We really haven't had much rain this year.
