I realize now that the reason I am always being negative about winter dressing is that I want to keep a tight hold on numbers of items in my wardrobe due to space constraints.
So the idea of having a “dry weather only” boot (from nemosmom) is not that appealing since it won’t get used that much but take up a lot of space in my 4x4 entryway.
Jess: thanks for the vote of confidence on the skinnies. I think I look good in wider pants (wedgie jeans) but the question is how to wear them in the snow! I think the answer is to wear them with sleek boots on days that are not too cold.
Alice: I’m going to try the dress over pants then, with a turtleneck. It’s settled.
Suntiger: I like the idea of capsules based on silhouette. Makes sense.

Nemosmom: I LOVE the look of flares and pointy toes. I think if you have dry days, the look is worth it.
