What kind of shoes are these?

I found an awesome pair of shoes at TJ Maxx (talk about comfy!), but I'm not sure what kind they are. Are these the brogues I keep hearing about?

I don't know but they're cute! When I was a kid I wore shoes like this and I called them "clodhoppers" but I don't believe that is the technical, sartorial term! ha ha

Brogues have more detail on them. These are closer to oxfords, but personally I'm not a fan of this particular pair.

Wooo hoo! The first thing I thought was, nope, those are oxfords. Then I saw Angie's post. Now I know, I know my brogues from my oxfords! Those look like a nice, basic pair of oxfords. You have a more relaxed and casual vibe to your style, so I bet you'll wear these a lot.
