What kind of hat suits you best?

I am a beanie girl through and through. They work for my face, my hair my style and my climate. The next best thing is a newsboy cap.

Can't wear a fedora or a baseball cap at all - they look horrible on me! I need floppy volume on top somehow. Nothing narrower than my face.

Trulu? No hat. But so far a bean e is best. I wish I could wear more. Military caps are also okay, but I have such a big head...

I luv my beret, fedora, and floppy hats that have height in the crown to offset my wide face. I'm still looking for the right winter beanie. Never felt right in a baseball cap or newsboy cap.

Team Slouchy Beanie although I don't really love any hats on me personally. I look terrible in anything with a brim--baseball, newsboy, etc.

In warm weather cloche hats work for my face shape but they don't provide a ton of sun protection. Towards the end of this summer I got a cloth sun hat that's somehow a cross between a cloche and a bucket hat that flatters my face really well & actually keeps the sun off so it's my new favourite! I also have a little straw fedora and large straw Panama, but I don't think either are as flattering, especially the fedora.

In cool weather big slouchy knit hats. Slouchy beanie, slouchie beret, slouchy tam...just as long as it's slouchy. hehe I love your beanies!

I love my fedora, especially with my newer haircut that works better under it. Like LACelest said, I have a high forehead too.

I never wear it, though. Maybe I will once it starts raining (...if it ever starts raining).

None for me. I like my bangs and have never worked out how to not smush or hide them with any hat. I find them appealing but never even try (only a furry bomber hat for shoveling snow)

The fedora looks lovely on me! I bought one recently.
I wanted to buy one like the one in the picture, but it seems this model is too big for me, I'll keep looking!

I have a big round head so finding hats that flatter have always been tough. I suppose a winter knit tuque/beanie looks okay on me, and in summer a wide brimmed hat.

I NEED to wear hats but have trouble finding something that works with my small face, big hair, and specs. Best seems to be beret, but I have yet to find one I love (current one is itchy). If hair is smooth, a tuque. I have two old fashioned gardening hats that look good, but don't know what the winter version of them might be. They have a big, malleable brim.

Usually I just wrap a bog pashmina loosely 'round my head and neck to keep warm.

Some Angie advice on best hat shapes would be great!

My head is too small for standard hats and the children's section doesn't often yield many possibilities that aren't pink or purple. I like a beret best.

Lots of hats work well for me! I should wear more.
Cloche hats are particularly cute, as are newsboys and berets.
Beanies, not so much, but I keep them around sometimes because they're warm.
Baseball caps aren't my best look; I think they make my face look rounder/squatter than it is, but military style with a brim is fine.
I need an occasion to rock a big floppy hat. They're cute, but they tend to annoy me.

I wear my Phillies baseball cap to keep the sun off my eyes when I walk Cosmo, but other than that, it's no hats for me. My hair is short and they make me look like a boy. When I had "big hair" I used to love wearing a fedora style.

SLOUCHY beanie or beret, or a cloche. The key is nothing that is fitted to the head, as all those do is emphasize my gigantic head and mess up my hair. I love the look of giant floppy hats for summer too, but haven't found one that fits my big head. I'd like to try a newsboy too, but ditto about the sizing. Most of my hats are handknit - stretchy to begin with and I can adjust the size.

I'm just the opposite -- I have a small head. I usually have to go down to the tightest hole on adjustable baseball caps, or find a children's size.

But strangely, it seems I wear hats fairly well. I do best in hats with just a bit of brim volume, but not too much. Too floppy and too much brim overwhelms me and emphasizes the smallness of my head. If I can find them to fit, I like fedoras, some cowboy hats, some newsboy-ish styles, and some baseball caps. I have a vintage cloche somewhere too, but it doesn't really go with my current style.

I would love to try a slouchy beanie -- hey, there's an idea for my Secret Santa!

Garnet Hill's slouchy cashmere beanies work best on me I think: don't mess up my hair and give me hat head, just enough slightly oversized and slouchy but not smurf or snowboarder long which I find cute on others but too juvenile on me.

I love hats, both currently and when I had a pixie. I always leave some bits fairly long around my temples when my hair is short, and if you razor them the curl a bit and keep it looking feminine. I have problems finding hats small enough, but that doesn't mean I've given up. I have a wool cloche, I love beanies (but need to replace my current nice wool one since it is in shreds), and cowboy hat, plus several baseball caps. I am looking for an affordable straw fedora or panama for the summer. I find hats look best with short hair, a bob which adds thickness to my hair, or a ponytail, otherwise they spread my hair around and make it look thin.

I love hats & wear hats of all different styles. Newsboy, fedora, beanie, shearling Russian style with ear flaps, aviator shearling, big brimmed floppy hats & baseball. I just have to find them large enough to fit my big noggin.

Between my big head and high forehead, I see I have lots of company on this thread!

I love hats and they're a key part of my summer/early fall outfits -- whether I'm commuting or out and about on weekends. In colder weather knit wool or more shaped cloches are my go-tos.

Because of that I have a fair amount of photos of me in hats -- WHERE ARE THE OTHERS'?!

I have to say I look pretty awesome in certain styles and downright horrendous in others, ha. So I don't stray too far from cloche, bucket-y, and styles that cover my forehead and let me add a scarf to mix things up...though I keep trying! These shapes also work well with my general style preferences.

The last few years I've stuck to neutral shades for max versatility, but I'm thinking I can justify a colored hat for winter. Still thinking about a deep green one I passed up 2 years ago!

I'm not a big hat person either, but I wish I was. I really struggle to like them on me, so as a result I rarely look. I have my fleece tuke, that's about it. Sounds like I need to investigate slouchy beanies... I need something that looks good, and that is warm, for our winters!
