LJP, Yes! Athleta has become a great resource for me to find the type of casual clothes that work for my retired lifestyle. Some are athleisure, but not all. It helps that they carry tall sizes, which I usually require.
Lisa, Thank you. I’m not an expert at styling and often struggle, but I’m trying to broaden my horizons as I work to adapt my closet for a retired lifestyle.
Angie, I greatly appreciate your feedback. Dressing for our Arizona climate isn’t always easy. It’s tempting to default to the loosest t-shirt and shorts I can find, but that doesn’t make me feel fab! I’ve made it a priority to find summer tops that are 100% cotton because they are the breeziest for me.
Jaime, I had forgotten just how versatile olive actually is. Seems like it works with just about everything.
Laura, thank you for the feedback! You have such a good eye and are always so helpful to me. I have learned so much from you! I also like the ivory and olive the best, but didn’t really expect it to work (I thought it would be drab).
Janet, thank you very much. I want to see how you style the barrels as I’m sure I could get some great ideas and inspiration from you (I always do).
Irina, RobinF, Suntiger, Kkards, Thank you! I’m always a little apprehensive trying styles that are new to me, but don’t like to get stuck in a rut. It helps to get feedback here and from my husband. Taking photos helps me, too.
Sharan, have you tried the barrel pant silhouette? I’m sure they would be great on you. Hair is a work in process. Back to my short style after
experimenting with longer looks for a few years.I don’t like to fuss with it!
