Things have been so hectic lately. I'm glad I took a weekend and threw together some winter workwear capsules because they have been life saving! I feel like I've been living in a uniform - straight leg BR Martins + blouse or shirt + cardigan or jacket + suede booties that match my trousers. Or, substitute my black Vince Camuto tube midi or my DVF burgundy midi for the trousers. Repeat.

Sadly, haven't had many pics. And my camera was having issue focussing lately, so this latest isn't so great.

Anyone else doing uniform dressing these days?

Uniforms/formulas make life so much easier. I've been following them a lot lately.... dress + tights/leggings + boots + jacket is one I use quite often.

Yes. I've realized I need a jury duty capsule - something that goes from sitting in a really uncomfortable chair for 5 hours to being able to go to the office and meet with clients. Similar uniform only for me it's skinnies and boots. It's comforting to know that even if it's repetitive, I don't have to struggle.

Gorgeous, Jenava! That shade of purple is super for you. Realllyyy like the lighter gray shoes with the lighter gray trousers! Looks much fresher than black. Your work formula sounds fab, especially know the types of pieces you've got to fill the formula in with I have been more formulaic for weekends these days. If raining: Sweater+skinnies+boots. If not raining: Sweater+flares+pumps, or Sweater+skinnies+flats. Simplifies my life, for sure! That is just what those formulas are for

And you and me...we are colour buddies! I adore the colours you wear so well.

I do wear a uniform. For SURE. My work-at-home uniform is jeans and a sweater plus sometimes a scarf. My go-out-into-the-world uniform in wintery wet slushy snowy weather is jeans or pants tucked into tall boots (sad lemming, but no choice!) with a button down and topper. It works and I don't have to think too hard, and that is a good thing sometimes.

This week I did the dress, jacket and boots formula and it was nice to have an easy getting dressed each morning.

Your look is gorgeous on you so if it works no need to mess with it.

Wow- if I could find such a wonderful uniform, I'd happily adopt it! Your outfit is flattering in fit and color, stylish and chic.

Love those silvery grey trousers with the pointy toes peeking out. That purple is a great, fun shade and will work right thru spring and even summer.

Wow, the gray suede booties look really luxurious with the trousers. The top is incredible--the contrast picks up your dark hair vs light skin.

Hmm I think I always do uniform dressing - makes life mhuch easier. You look great by the way - love the sheen of the trousers, the soft suede, te lacy look top and the gorgeously coloured cardi.

My formula = Boyfriend jeans, boyfriend cardi, slouchy tee and athletic shoes. I sounds frumpy but I tty to pick frump-fighting pieces.

OK today I'm actually wearing skinny jeans with the above formula. And sometimes I step up and substitute a jacket for the cardi and some Chelsea boots for the trainers.

I think I may overuse the word "breathtaking" when I comment on your outfits Jenava but I can't help it. This is very simple and straightforward a look but the colours, silhouette, etc make it standout. The booties in the same tone as your trousers creates such a beautiful line.
