I know it's on ongoing process, a journey, that's never finished. But right now, what is your struggle and/or focus? Is it integrating new trends? Keeping to a budget? Purging those items you know you should, but just somehow can't?
For me, the big hurdle has always been budget . . . or so I thought. What it really boils down to is how little clothing I can happily live with. It's pure volume. I've never been a loose cannon with the spending. If anything, it's the opposite. What my trouble is, is being fine with less. Being okay with repeating outfits. Not needing the high that a new item gives me.
I realize I have only repeated maybe 3 or 4 outfits in the 2 months I've been here in FL. I didn't do that on purpose - it's just how I'm wired. Variety. But if I can do 2 months of purely summer wear, odds are I can do 2 whole months of each other season with little repeat as well. So . . . the logical conclusion is I HAVE ENOUGH CLOTHING. But I still want more. This is my big hurdle. Acquiring less. And making it better quality while I'm at it. I'll be honest, buying 2 items a month scares me - but that's my plan for next year. Luckily, I'm pretty good at sticking by what I tell myself are the rules. Hope to learn about the bounty of less through this.
And you?
