Thanks everyone!
Haha yes rachylou I love Vivienne Westwood and the punk type look popular here in Japan. I'd never go as far as that because I also love more classical pieces so perhaps meet in the middle "classic rock" haha.
SF very true. There are some things I still like, even though they are essentials, (or is it basics...I keep getting confused haha) my Filippa K tops are one very basic piece i'll keep buying. When I'm next in Europe i'll go to a Denham store and try on a load of fits to see which one I like the most and get a few pairs. Online I think I like a certain fit but I think its easier in person. I also like Breton tops, so i'll get some of those and maybe try make them rocky? Haha not sure how yet...but i'll see.
After that, I like both polished, dressed up looks but with a hint of rock (pins, studs etc). Anyway, I think i've realised its better not to over think. Some things I absolutely love on other people. I'm one of those people who loves so many different styles on people and really I just need to stick to one for myself. I think I realised when I was planning my birthday outfit, what I liked. Def not full on punk or like grunge or emo/scene but you know some select elements. I think most will be in the form of accessories, bags and shoes etc and leave the clothes more simple. The skirt I just bought could easily be styled in a more classic way with loafers or heels or ballet flats if I have a major change of heart.
I really want a YSL burgundy velvet smoking jacket omg *love* haha...that might be a 5 year goal. Need to save up.
I also realised I want to bring in little khaki, but does that pair well with black, white and navy?
