What I wore while life is too busy!

Hi! Life has been crazy busy though the fall as my son started high school and marching band which seems to have taken over our lives !.. but I managed to take a few outfit photos...
1 and 2 are the WHBM dress Angie suggested. I love it! So comfy and the pattern is fun.
3) terrible pic but I kind of enjoyed the outfit. Zara dot blouse and scarf
4) I felt so comfy and good in this one
5) my new favorite shoes!
6) I wear this vest all the time! I don’t think any piece in my wardrobe gets more wear.
7) loving the dark florals. Zara top.

I have not been spending a lot of time on clothing bc life is crazy so I see various things I would probably change but I have been getting dressed in like 5 minutes every day so .. it does show me my wardrobe is in pretty good shape ...if I organized it!

The WHBM dress is terrific on you. All of your outfits have a sense of fun. You look great.

Oh boy - band mom. I was a band mom for four years. My son was in everything and it overtook our lives until he graduated. I met such nice people, though, that I've become close friends with. Totally worth it. I hope you enjoy it,

Your outfits are so fun! You may not be thinking about it much, but it looks like you are. Your wardrobe must be set up perfectly for eclectic rocker style.

My BFF has two kids in HS band and it's craziness. I think that's true for a lot of HS activities, though, especially those first couple years when you have to drive them everywhere. My son is a junior now, and theatre is hours every day. Now, though he doesn't have his license, he has enough friends who drive that I'm not shuttling him everywhere anymore.

Momo - you look terrific. Just wanted to beam hugs. My son is a junior and this is his 3rd year of marching band, he plays the sousaphone. My husband and I are roadies. Yes, there is no life but band first semester!! But it's an incredible experience and it makes HS so much easier because your son will have friends of all years looking out for him. Plus the band room is his "home" in school. But it's very intense!! We were shocked because the first 2 years, my son has been in wind ensemble the top tier band as a freshman and was first chair tuba in WE last year as a sophmore, that music is his most intense course. Of course as a jr, the pace goes up across the board. Hang in there. Band, IMHO, is one of the best things about HS because they "belong" and the music staff, if they are like ours, really looks out for your child and so does their section and band friends. Good luck and hang in there!! And do not forget febreeze, safety pins, a sewing kit and shout wipes!! Yours in valve oil.....

Floral FTW!!! I love the dress but the top is great too. How good in this trend, eh? And special mention for the striped dress. I love the subtle angles and unusual shape. Great with the jacket. YLF!

Jenn - thank you - I am looking forward to not being a chauffeur but with a 12 year old as well I think I have years of it to do - I keep tryingto just enjoy the moments with them knowing it wont be long before I will miss carting them around.

Rachie - this cool mom got the comment from my younger son "how come all your clothes have to be weird in some way " this was as I was putting on a rather fun Puma windbreaker with a peplum and lace up sleeves "why cant you just wear a regular jacket" - I said because this is me baby!
