What I Wore on A Rainy Saturday: Floral Pants and Ruffled Top

Last Saturday the Rain Gods finally decided to shower (pun intended) their blessings on us Delhi folks, and the beautiful weather made it a perfect day for just venturing out and about town.

So as I went about my Saturday, I decided to rock my favourite (and only) pair of floral pants (also worn here). They haven’t been out much lately, but I love them just as much as I did when I’d bought them. I teamed-up the pants with a ruffled pale blue top. Since it was raining and there were little puddles everywhere, I went easy on the footwear with a pair of studded berry flats. And the bag I carried was a purple Marks & Spencer one (hardly visible in the photo).

The pants are so pretty! I like that top and shoes with them a lot too. A lot of color, but not overwhelming.

Sara, thanks! I think it's best to wear light/open-toed sandas or flip-flops in hot and rainy weather.

Your outfit is so pretty, fresh, fun, and chic. You look great in it. I like the ruffled tiers of the top with the floral of the pants, playing up the feminine feel of the outfit. For rainy days I often echo the sky with subdued colors. They make me feel serene. I find our typically gentle rain calming.

Those colors are so fab! I love how pretty you look your outfit.
It has been raining non-stop here in Bombay for the last one month. To office I generally wear pencil skirts or dresses with F21 heeled booties that are close-toed & go an inch above my ankle. They make it easy for me to walk through puddles of water (I have to walk a bit after taking the metro to office). The knee length dress / skirt means I don't have to sit in wet pants through the day.

I love the blue paired with the floral. So bright and cheery for a rainy day! When it rains here it's much much cooler so my rainy day outfits would never look as great as this
