What I wore on Christmas Eve to deliver presents to a few close friends.
I wore new jeans from All Saints a new jacket from BA &SH and new chunky boots from Gant.

For 2022 I am looking forward to retiring in March on my 60 th birthday.I am a front line nurse and the last two years have been the most stressful of my whole career.

I don’t really have any wardrobe goals I have never needed work clothes so no big changes when I am retired.

Love the jeans - didn't know Allsaints made clothing not in black or grey! The light camel reads a little like a subdued old gold, so festive enough for the 'new normal'.

Speaking of which, I'm sure you'll be glad for your new normal to include some major R&R - congrats & best wishes for this new stage of life

Yes congratulations on your well deserved retirement - I cannot even imagine what it took to be a nurse the last two years. You look super in your gift giving outfit - great wide cargo pants in a unexpected color and the boot/jacket combination is fab!

Thank you all for your good wishes. I am looking forward to the big change in my life but also nervous as I have never not worked. My husband and I had planned to do some travelling once I retired but Covid has changed everything so no firm travel plans as yet.

I think being a nurse must be one of the hardest jobs. Congratulations on your retirement. Great outfit, I especially love the colour of the pants...they look like a soft peachy/apricot colour...so pretty but the black jacket adds a bit of edge.

Sally I loved my job all my life. But the last 2 years have been so hard for me and all my colleagues at work. People are queuing up to leave they can’t give anymore. Many of my nursing and medical friends are also doing vaccinations on their days off. I will do vaccinations in April once I am retired I just don’t have the stamina do work on my days off at the moment.

Thanks for the lovely comments on my outfit. Shopping for clothes on line has really helped me in the last two years. Looking forward to a parcel arriving sort of cheers me up. I have bought a lot but I am very good at returning stuff that doesn’t suit so not too many mistakes!

Love your outfit, caramel works so well with your hair and komplexion-and also, admire your determination and strength you probably prouved during your lifetime career as a front line nurse! These 2 years of pandemic (esp in the USA) must have been very difficult for you-congrats for your retirement.

First off.... THANK YOU for the work you've done as a front-line nurse. I have friends who have been working this entire stretch, and the amount of physical, mental and spiritual stress they've gone through wrings my heart.

Second... CONGRATULATIONS on your upcoming retirement! I think we need to have a virtual Retirement/Birthday party in March, here on the forums.

Thanks again to everyone for their good wishes. I am not in USA I live in Ireland but it’s just as bad here as our health services were stretched long before Covid started. I have to say as well as shopping online reading the blog and forum everyday is one of the things I really enjoy. I love fashion and love seeing what everyone is wearing especially in so many different parts of the world and such varied climates. Well done Angie for creating such a great space

Super cool outfit! Congratulations on your impending retirement. It's nice that it isn't a huge style change for you--one less adjustment to make! I stopped working last February, and I have found it very liberating. I am not at a loss for things to do. I hope you find it a good change, too.
