Oh these are so perfect! I love the shape. These are exactly the sort of high quality shoes that just make a whole look in my humble (and shoe obsessed) opinion.

And won't they look great with that Rag and Bone shirt, Shevia?

OMG ! Those are beautiful and anything but basic. I also love the shape of the toe. THIS is how to buy "everyday" wear. Something elegant and classic with an edge. Niiiiice !

ETA I just looked at the boots online. They are swoon worthy. They are made in Italy. Hand stitiched and not glued. Beautiful, fine leather. They are the type of boot that you polish and re-sole and keep for 20 years and they ALWAYS look fan-tab. They are like a fine tiramasu...but enjoyable for so much longer....Congratulations.

*swoon* they are AMAHZING! I do so love SW shoes. So glad you got them!

Simplicity as a statement, these shoes are gorgeous and perfect for you Suz.

WOW.just WOW! Now, these will be one statement and quality increasing piece in your wardrobe, for sure! See what happens, next:-)

ooooOOOooooh. I love them! And now I'm totally jealous.

Suz, these are fab. I love the almond shaped toe. These will be the workhorses in your wardrobe. What jeans are u wearing in the pic?

Oh, Suz, these are teh boots I fell in love with but were sold out in my size!!

I am SO glad you got them!!!

They look great, and they look great on you. I suspect these will become workhorses!

Those booties are perfection. I'm so glad you bought them! I've been looking for something like that but sadly SW shoes are too narrow for my feet (and too $$$ for now). I will love them vicariously through you.

You know what I love even more, though? Your OUTFIT. Those jeans are amazing but I love the whole getup.

Hi Suz --

Sleek and beautiful and a great add to your closet given what you've been wearing and your climate. You'll get years of use with these!

I love them and would wear them in half a heartbeat. SWs are awesome. Enjoy!

Dear Suz, I believe you shipped them to the wrong address. They are clearly intended to be an early holiday gift for me, so if you'd be so kind as to remedy the shipping problem immediately, I won't hold this tiny little mistake against you.

In all seriousness, these will be perfect for your climate (unlike my adored but weather-impractical first pair of SW ballet flats), and are exactly the foundation that a minimalist wardrobe is built upon: beautiful, well-made, not-boring classic pieces. Enjoy!

I am seriously jealous. I love Chelsea boots too and am keeping half an eye open for something good. Although I'm glad I haven't seen these. I've spent enough on boots this year, and it would hurt to leave a beautiful pair of boots like that behind.

Love how the sheer simplicity of them highlights the great shape. And it's practical on top of its elegance?! Score! Congratulations, Suz. This looks like an excellent investment.

Sorry so late to the party. I'm glad you love them and it does seem that is a good epiphany--these are certainly "wardrobe essentials" and worthy of being very good quality and stylish for you, so that it seems effortless and fab to wear them.

My big step up recently was Munro ankle boots at full price--I needed that kind of footwear for this season, I ran into them, they fit and looked good, so I leaped.
What helped me most was I had not actually found other types that fit, looked good, but were cheaper, so I decided it was time to just do it.

So for me that fits into the idea of, save time and energy by having some idea of what something ought to look, feel, or fit like, and when it happens, get it and just move on. That's off my list now and I don't need a duplicate and I'm wearing them rather than finding them in June when I'm wearing lighter/cooler footwear.

I did almost order SW ankle boots from ? Pendleton catalog and there I did quake at the price. I may still want to try on SW brand at some point and make a comfort comparison. If it were somehow really better--I mean, heaven for feet--then I might do it, especially if it eliminated the need to wear, or keep buying, other pairs of footwear for the same outfits.
