So...I was actually in the market for a dressier black bootie. And I tried one on (another SW) and while it was lovely, and I liked it, it did not fit me properly. The salesman went to put an insole in. Meanwhile, I browsed the racks and found this in my size and slipped it on.
And even though I don't really "need" an in-between low heeled black bootie (my Josef Siebels, while they do need new heel lifts, are still good for another year's wear) I knew the minute I put it on that I had to buy.
1. I have always, always, always loved Chelsea boots....always.
2. The fit was unbelievable; it was really like they were made for me. I could tell that I would be able to wear them constantly.
3. They made me feel fab.
4. Even though it wasn't an immediate "need" it was a practical purchase in the sense that they are basic enough to be able to work with lots of outfits and not to date too terribly. Also, the heel height and casual-to-slightly-dressy style is good for where I live.
