Rachylou, I'm also short waisted, so maybe that's why Maggy London works so well for me.

Oh yes, Talbots. I have a few beautiful fit and flare dresses from there, and a pair of dress pants and some tops. I used to think their clothes were a bit old fashioned but I think they have gotten much more fashionable in recent years (or I have just gotten older, lol).

I love http://www.zoevine.com for dresses. I love pencil and fit n flare dresses. In fact I wear a dress most days!

Top Shop. A lot of Petite clothing is boring, and theirs is less so. I've also found a fit in a couple of their dresses. A lot of their stuff is skanky, however, and I'm not always sure of my size.

Sundance was the first brand that occurred to me when I saw this post, and I was happy to see that a couple of other people (including the original poster!) mentioned it. I've got a Sundance outlet store fifteen minutes drive away--oops, I just checked online and realized that's their only outlet store. I like their style very much and have wondered why I never see them mentioned here. (But I guess it's just a matter of a much tinier market share.)

I'm in Australia, so of course my brands aren't mentioned here.

I like Portmans for their quality and longevity, and am rather drawn to Forever New.

Texstyle - I've had a few pair of jag jeans in years past that I liked a lot. Haven't worn them in a few years, but would definitely be open to trying them again.

UD - I would love to shop the Sundance outlet store. If I had a better success rate with them, I'd order more often. I love the look of their catalog, and have had a couple pieces I've really liked, but have also made more returns than keeps.

Karie - I tried some stuff on from Talbots this year. Alas, almost all their tops I find run too short for my preference.

DonnaF - topshop has some cute items, but I've never tried them for fit.

Hey Anne Forever New came to NZ as well! I love their stuff. It's a bit young for me, but very feminine and I like to look at it in store. Portmans is good too I agree. DD 23 y , now that she has been earning for 18 months, has stepped up a little from K-mart to Portmans. I have one layering T from there which is lasting well.

I have some nice clothes from Talbot's, but the ones they're offering this year aren't speaking to me.

I found a pair of bottoms at Walmart, of all places! I needed something to replace my old, but greatly loved, clam diggers. There were Bermuda shorts by Lee on sale. I bought a faded denim pair and released the hem to make them knee length.

I live in Canada and buy from Joe Fresh, Reitman's and Mark's Work Warehouse. Not expensive or overly-trendy and their clothing lasts for me for more than one season. I also have some great bathing suits from Land's End... would highly recommend their swimsuits!

I have a casual cotton dress from Walmart that I bought years ago. I have worn it a lot during vacations, and it has held well. It's still colorfast, too.
