Love this thread!!
I made so many great purchases this year that it is going to be tough to choose. But here goes:
Best wildcard / HEWI (and deal): Danier blush moto. I bought this on style exchange from Dee. Due to our crazy mild autumn, I was wearing it as outerwear almost until Christmas! Love it. Thank you, Dee! Now I know that I love the moto style, and I also know I need a navy or ink one when I can find it.
Best wardrobe refreshers:
- BR cropped jeans. I had to play with sizing (going to petite, which I never normally wear, and sizing up). Worth it for the thrill of the new.
- H&M blouses-- thanks Angie and Lisa. Super easy to wear, pretty, and perfect for our warm autumn.
- Hibou boots in burgundy: Again, thanks, Lisa! (Not pictured.)
Best basic workhorse: BR merino tee in navy. Wear it ALL the time. Wearing it now.
Best pretty: Club Monaco silk dress worn with Sam Edelman Okalas in golden.
Best summer workhorse sandals: Seychelles cognac retro and Franco Sarto taupe gladiators (thanks, Denise!).
Best summer travel dress: Loft retro tent-like dress. Amazing to find quality at the Loft after years of disappointment there. As Angie says, leave no retail stone unturned. I also got a fabulous cool blouse and a great tee there. Made my China travel capsule!
I sent most of my poor purchase back the way they came. One exception was this kimono topper from Aritzia. It counts among my worst purchases. Only worn a few times. There is nothing "wrong" with it. Just doesn't work well for me.
But the absolute worst purchase? You know what I am going to say, right? The infamous BUTT VEST!!!!
