bags and scarfs!

Handbags (especially clutches) and shoes (especially pumps)...... and lingere......

Black tops of all kinds, long-sleeved tees, bags, scarves, boots, and socks.

Black pants. I cannot walk by a pair of black pants without seriously considering buying them. I have them in every cut and fabric and yet can always find room for one more pair. I seriously love them.

Sweaters, sweaters and more sweaters. Cashmere in the winter, merino spring and fall, and cotton in summer.

Also scarves and necklaces. Funny because I don't always wear them, but love having them available.

Wool sweaters, both jumpers/pullovers and cardigans. Especially grey wool cardigans: I have 4 and can't pick any to cull because they're all different. Really just grey knitwear in general: I also have 5 grey jumpers/pullovers, 2 warmer weather grey cardis (1 silk, 1 cotton), and 4-5 grey tees if I include the ones with grey stripes. And yet, I never leave a thrift store without checking all the grey sections (mine are organised by clothing type, then colour), and after I knit my current cardigan, for my 2nd sweater I'm eyeing grey yarns. heehee

My mom once told me in high school that grey wasn't my colour (I don't know why: she's always very encouraging and supportive in the fitting room, must've been a weird day), and I didn't realise how ridiculous that was until I bought a long sleeve grey tee my junior year of college and saw how flattering it looked in all of the pics of me. So I can't say it's a lifelong love, but over the last 7 years it's been consistent!

There are definitely other things I find irresistible too, but they're more general categories, like high waisted full skirts or girly little blouses in silks or fine cottons or silk-cotton blends. And certain colours, like muted pinks and mauves, grey-ish blues, mushroomy tones, and any of the dustier blue-greens. I could have an entire closet of them and still always be on the lookout for more!

BOOTS!

Gear! I love purchasing outdoor clothing and workout gear-- especially running shoes!

Socks, undies, and bras (have to control myself when not in need, but I do enjoy the process of the renewal and how replacing a whole class of clothes feels).

PJs and loungewear--- this is one of my favorite things to browse for, although I like to get stuff on sale, spending money on "myself" with no way to justify it because of a "public" need feels so decadent (I grew up in a house where my parents each had one pair of short elastic waist sweatpants that they wore for lounging every evening-- 1 pair).

Long sleeves tees make me insanely happy-- if I could find a simple pullover sweater I liked I have a feeling that those would be the same.

Hats! Oh I love hats. Right now my list has another ball cap, a fedora, and a panama on it.

Yardley soaps-- one of the few fragrances I like (both the lavender and rosemary and the almond) and things that smell like shea butter.

Nice tea, coffee, or chocolate.

Cardigans (OH THE CARDIGANS), brown shoes and anything gray (t-shirts, jackets, jeans...). And it's possible that I buy dresses more often than I wear them.

Boots, Jackets, and Scarves!

Sweaters in the winter; dresses in the summer; skirts year round.
