Until recently, tops, especially thrifted sweaters and cardigans. Some were okay; others not so much. Since YLF and keeping written lists of my clothing items and outfits, I've realized I need pants, jeans, and footwear. And blazers.

Re non clothes, I buy art and pictures for our home and plants for the garden.

Nice leather handbags and totes...I'm hopeless! Also...lipgloss!

Fall/winter clothes in general. Which is ridiculous, seeing that I live in a relatively mild climate. My winter closet is filled with things that make me happy, while my spring/summer closet is languishing with sad pieces that dangle forlornly on their hangers.

And the worst part is that I haven't yet gotten stern enough with myself to address my closet deficiencies. My brain says, "You really should pick up a few more pairs of summer sandals" and my heart goes, "OOH. Look at those awesome boots!".

BOTTOMS! Pants, trousers, jeans - I rarely meet a pair I don't love!
New addiction - coats....little harder to hide

Pencils & dresses (esp ponte now), than jacket, shoes, scarves...so in fact, any clothing item (except button downs:-().

Totes....I know ! Leather, canvas, it doesn't matter. Scarves and jewelry. There is so much awesome costume jewelry now that I can't stand it.

Oh, and blazers. Very useful for a stay at home mom. : )

I go in cycles. Lately I have been attracted to skirts, especially pencil skirts. I have too many to wear as it is.

Dresses... so easy and comfy! And shoes... no fit problems and they still love me if I gain 5 pounds.

Chelsea style booties. Life long love. Different styles, levels of refinement, heels -- it's all good in my book.

Jackets. Oh, jackets.

Outerwear, boots, purses, and gear.

Shoes and boots
Bags
Black pants
Jeans
Sweaters

Oh how I wish there was a catergory of summer clothing that speaks to me the way some of my favorites do.

Definitely tailored jackets, any season, any fabric!

I'm so late to this thread... but do you even have to ask? Hehe.

Boots. Enough said.
Jackets, particularly moto or leather - I don't have the name Queen Jacket for nothing!
Scarves - even though I have loads, it's such an easy, inexpensive way to express my love of color and pattern when I don't want to wear it in a larger way.
Rings - my favorite type of jewelry item. I can leave off every other kind of jewelry, just let me keep a statement ring.

Jeans. Boots. Lipstick.

Except now I'm a little worried about the jeans, after all the comments about calf-sucking tightness!

Sweaters! When I joined YLF, I had 54 sweaters. I desperately needed to shed some of those sweaters from years of collecting them (I am also loathe to get rid of favorite sweaters) and broaden my horizons.

Pajamas and loungewear, including fuzzy socks.

Cute workout clothes.

Swimsuits.

shoes, shoes and more shoes, and jeans.

Handbags, coats/jackets, and cardigans! Little details can make such a difference for me with these items.

Shoes and boots, coats and jackets, lipstick, cobalt blue wardrobe items.

Dresses and scarves... I am a sucker for a great pattern, and I never tire of searching for the perfect one-piece outfit aka dress.

Flared skirts & dresses, tops (short sleeve, fall, & sweaters); styles: pussy bow, knit button-down, cowl (sweater), lower/wider v/square/scoop/sweetheart necks.
Colors: rich autumn shades of mustard/green/chestnut/pumpkin/dark red, brown, & cream.

Scarves- so pretty and inexpensive. I'm pretty sure I buy a new one for every season of the year.

Handbags- I have many and I want many many more. I keep a running wish list with pictures on my phone

Shoes! All kinds - sandals, boots, flats, doesn't matter, I love them all. Also, I'm recently attracted to scarves and I have way too many.

Pants/jeans - which my decade-ago self would be totally floored by. For years I had to try on 10 pairs of pants to find 1 that would fit me, and at some point I must have gotten not only used to it but started to enjoy it. Now that I've lost some weight and have a more average shape, it's easier for me to find jeans, especially, and now I have to stop myself from buying them, which never happened before. Thus my "how many jeans are too many?" thread from a couple months ago.

Black and white or black and cream prints - I am such a sucker for them it's embarrassing. Anything in my favorite colors, like teal and some greens and dove gray. V neck cardigans, ballet flats, bras that fit (because they're like zebras in a sea of horses), long narrow scarves.

Blazers, scarves, and striped tees. I seem to always find myself purchasing stripes!

Leather jackets, fluid trousers and footwear!
Mind you, aside from the jackets ( thanks, Danier! )they are not easy for me to find but I love them anyway. I guess the thrill of the hunt just adds to the fun!

Scarves, purchased and handmade. Sweaters, especially big warm ones that don't hang well on me but are very cuddly.

Also Books! Teas!

This is fun!

Well I expected just as much from a group of fashionistas!

In thinking more about this, I realized that with items I love, the details matter (i.e. lace up boots vs. zipper boots, heel height, shaft height, leather sheen, stitching) and thus justify buying many versions. With items I hate shopping for, they are all the same to me (pumps, bras, t shirts, button downs)... Boring and difficult to fit or find.

In my heart I know that is not the case, but it's how I feel. If I had any sense I'd pay more attention to the details of the things I hate as that is probably what is causing the issue in the first place.
