...assuming it's something fit to print on the Internet, heh!
Mike and I switch off anniversary and Valentine's day planning each year. He had our anniversary this year, so I'm in charge of Valentine's.
I'm making a special breakfast (puff pancake, also known as Dutch baby, with whipped cream and berries) for him in bed, where we'll probably also watch the new episode of Battlestar Galactica before we get up. If it's nice out we'll go for a walk or hike, otherwise we'll relax at home. For dinner I'm going to make classic cheese fondue with fruit, asparagus, and two kinds of bread (fig & anise and potato-chive) from the world's best bakery, and salad with raspberries and candied pecans. For dessert I'll make dulce de leche creme brulee, and I have a bottle of champagne that has real strawberries in it. Then we'll either watch a movie at home or maybe go see Australia at the campus theatre (where movies are only $2!). I bought the fondue pot because it's one of our favourite meals and I'd like to start a tradition of having fondue on special occasions, especially New Year's, etc. It's a nice festive alternative to meat, since we're mostly vegetarian.
I also bought us each some new silky pajamas and, best of all, Haflinger slippers (grey for him, hot pink for me)! We also got much-needed new sheets for our bed; the ones we have been using are almost 7 years old and are more like sandpaper than fabric. And I'm making raw chocolate truffles for him (mint and maca malt).
For dinner I'm looking forward to wearing my new ruffled halter that Ana sent me, with my black pencil skirt, red patent heels, and hose (with a garter, fun!)
I was never too much into Valentine's day until we started switching off responsibility for the big "romantic occasions." Now I find it's so much fun to plan a whole day of relaxing, having fun, just enjoying each other. Why not?
So, what are you all planning?
