How funny...last night, my friend was wearing a dress with this exact silhouette to a wedding and she came over to raid my jewelry box before it started.
We found that because she has a shorter neck and the neckline was so open and rather deep (on her, anyway) that anything choker length was a no-go.
So much really depends on your personality, too -- are you more comfortable with just a little sparkle at your ears/neck? are you drawn to classic pearls?would you like to raid Liz Taylor's safe?
My friend is closer to Group C than the others. FWIW, we thought the best were:
* pendants with a presence....along the lines of:

* y drop necklaces with chunkier pendants like this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/50.....l-necklace
or this:

* chunkier, translucent semi-precious stones that had sharper shapes mixed in (vs round only)...along the lines of:

Of course skipping a necklace for a gorgeous bracelet and/or dangly earring would be great too -- the best part of a dress like yours is that it's really a blank slate!
