Week in Review (7/26-30) - YouLookFab Forum

I've been taking fewer outfit pics because I'm using my ACloset app calendar to record my outfits. (pic 1 is my week) Here are a few new ones:
2) my version of the Revenge Dress worn for a haircut
3) after the haircut
4) and 5) worn for work (with and without my favorite summer sweater). This denim shirt is from Target, and I like it with the pants. It has a longer, shirtail hem and I am considering shortening it and straightening it.
6) another work outfit
I need to add the finds. Top and sweater are Old Navy. The pants are from Target.
7) Our Casual Friday theme today was to wear our branded gear. I took the big, boxy mens tee and cut off some of the length, and modified the sleeve to a cap sleeve. One of my coworkers commented on how much better my shirt looked than hers. I was a little chuffed, since I just cut it and left the edges raw.

Love the hair cut…did you add red highlights? Or maybe the layers highlight your red undertones, especially in #7
This color palette is fab on you…and that rusty red cardi is fab. And i can see that working year round because you can make it feel summer or winter by changing up the colors you wear it with.

Hi Kkards- no highlights, that's just reflection from the red sun umbrella I'm sitting under. I didn't even notice that!

How do you shop ON? How do you decide what to try? I feel like I do a bad job when I go into Old Navy. I’m not the best shopper and don’t ever know what to look at when there’s so much to see. I have this problem in Macy’s too.

Regarding the outfits I always enjoyed the softness and harmonious colors in them. These are no exception.

rachylou- I shop mostly online. I will go into the stores to return things and browse and sometimes try things on, but most of my Old Navy purchases are made online. Honestly, I stalk the site so much that I see new products as they come in and try to evaluate them at that time as possible purchases. I put everything I may be interested in my shopping cart and save it for later, like a wish list. The things I am drawn to at Old Navy are woven tops, jeans, pixie pants for work (although, looking more at wide legs now), linen blends, dresses, and workout gear when I need more. I also like the line of small batch fragrances they carry in store. My advice- look at the wovens! Tops, pants, dresses, jackets....those are the items I find people are are surprised at coming from Old Navy. I think they're good quality for the price (if you're buying on sale or with a discount). I like the boho bent they usually have in these lines. I am always temptedby their jewelery in store, but I find the quality lacking.

I say, that’s very illuminating, chewey. I should maybe look online first. My big successes at ON have indeed been when I’ve gone in with a very specific idea of what I wanted.

Great haircut. I really like the last outfit. Cool to see you wearing the paperbag waist pants. I’d still like to see a dark blue top that matches the stripe, maybe with the light-colored cardi over top. The dress looks good, I think, but your hands/arms cut out a good portion of it—a hazard of mirror selfies.

All of your outfits look great too, especially love the dress, the deep rust cardi--that color looks splendid on you and it's fun to see it in the summertime--and the striped pants outfit...everything really :). I have said it before but your style is very organic to you and so everything seems harmonious.
