Dear YLF, as you can see from my title, after the treatment this Wednesday (no treatment yesterday or today for the holiday) there are only six left! Can't wait to be over. I wish everyone a slightly belated Thanksgiving!
I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you for all of your support on my previous threads. I am mind blown and is it difficult to find the right words. In the spirit of yesterday, I am going to try to keep being thankful for all the local support I did get right after my surgery, for the couple of local friends that are still doing that, from all the support from friends out of town, from YLF etc. There is plenty to be grateful for. And try to minimize the other feelings and lower my expectations.
There hasn't been much change from last week: the throat hurts a bit
more and taste is even worse, not so much left, but otherwise similar.
I have seen my oncologist on Wednesday, and in general he is pretty pleased with my condition. Apparently I am a textbook example of both cancer and
treatments, not sure if that is a good or a bad thing. And I learned that it is going to take at least couple of months after radiation ends for my taste to come back. Not happy about that one at all.
I trying to recover a bit over these four stay-at-home days. Hope everyone in the US is enjoying these as well and that those outside of US have a nice weekend. And to those celebrating it, happy Chanukah too!
