Week 2 Outfits - YouLookFab Forum

This week has been a challenge and I am not totally happy with it. As I said yesterday in the blog post I am feeling about frumpy and can’t quite put my finger on it.

I took four photo but I am only showing three because I have figured out what the problem with fourth was. It was all black for a memorial service and my hair was pulled back and it was just too severe.

Outfit #1- Sunday running errands. Jeans, sweater, flannel shirt and boots.

Outfit #3 - CeCe sweater, velvet pants’ boots.

Outfit #2-Today I was off and my grandson and I ran around, had lunch and spend time together.

You have good basics...great colors that you shine in. I am thinking a vest ,cardigan, scarf or charm type necklace could pull it all together.
Great footwear. Tweaking the hemlines of your bottoms to showcase your fab boots could be fun!

Accessories could add a different vibe to the outfit, like Jenn demonstrated in today's post. I wonder if the jumpers are too big for you and maybe this gives you a " frumpy feeling"?

First, pic #2 is KILLER. Those colours and the light neutrals with your new hair are absolutely SUBLIME!!! I bet your grandson was proud to hang out with such a stylish and sweet Granny

#1 is FAB! Wear your pearl necklace with it to match the light soles on the boots. Over the sweater. Cream boots - which I know you are looking for - would be great here too!

The top in #3 is a little clingy, although you wear the bow and puffy sleeves with the best of them! And CREAM is magical on you! I wonder whether it would be less clingy worn with a skirt?

I really like the Fair Isle sweater because it emphasizes your shoulders and gorgeous hair. Add in the dark jeans for a little edge, and you've got a great 'fit.

Thank you! You’ve made me feel better about the week. I have so much going on personally right now that I think I am just in a mood. This exercise is helping me put my items in finds and feel a bit more organized.

I think all the outfits look pretty nice but some small tweaks I might try would be:
Outfit 1: Have the cuffs and collar of the plaid shirt showing and perhaps add a pendant necklace or maybe switch to a v-neck sweater instead of the crew neck.
Outfit 2: Maybe a little cuff in the jeans to show off the boots more.
I do like the cream bow top and velvet pants.

Pretty outfits! Adding necklace or chain for #1 is something to consider - just enough to lighten the look. Your hair looks fab!

Love the colors in outfit #1 and the little pop of the flannel is great. For me, I’d try a faux tuck to show some shape
Outfit #3 cream blouse, I’d try throwing a denim coat or a blazer over the blouse. Or as Angie suggests I’d try changing out the bottoms, love her idea of a skirt, or wondering if you have a higher waist pant that you could tuck these shirt into?
outfit #2 is my fav. And if I could wear turtlenecks that sweater would be on its way to me.

Yes to a topper for the third, or a pop of color or printed bag.
