Behold, a height of color and pattern mixing that I have never before achieved! I felt like death warmed over on this day, due to an ankle injury and an awful allergy attack. But I had absolutely committed to attending an event (socially distanced), so I had to get dressed. Fortunately it was an art event, so I thought I could go a little crazy and maybe it would perk me up.
This coat is A LOT. I bought it in the spring when I was so afraid J Crew was going under, I splurged on a “last order” from them. One of many weird reactions to pandemic panic. Both coat and top have green leaves and orange/yellow elements, so I thought it was worth a try!
How about you? Are you relying on color or pattern to improve your mood, or feeling better and safer in simpler clothes? Do you feel that fashion rules have gone out the window?
Boots: Super old Born
Rust linen culottes: Uniqlo
Silk twill leopard top: Jcrew
COAT J Crew collection $$$$
Burgundy leather tote: Madewell
Garnet earrings: gift from hubs on our wedding day. Studs are getting a lot of wear this year as they don’t interfere with mask.
Ps if it seems like I’m out and about too much, it’s because Taiwan has done such a phenomenal job of virus control! (Aided by its island borders, of course). 200 days without a local infection, so we are fortunate to be relatively open compared to many of your locations. Hugs going out to all.
