It’s been raining here for days, so I’m back to jeans for now. I was determined today to wear one of my unworn button-front shirts or let it go. This one was from Club Monaco a few years ago — IIRC I bought it during a meetup with Angie and some fabbers! It’s a little dressy for my life now but I like the stripes and the fit. The buttons annoy me, as they do on most shirts like this — if I leave the first couple of buttons unbuttoned, it is just a little too revealing but if I do up that one button, the neck is too high and it starts gaping at the bust. So I need to wear a tank or cami underneath, which I don’t always love to do. So it’s a fussy shirt.

On to the boots. I ordered several pairs of black boots because I lean awfully heavily on my clunky moto boots, and my woven Jeffrey Campbell’s are dying.
These Fryes are the only pair that are comfortable and I like the look of. I like the small amount of detailing, and the more refined rock’n’roll vibe. I’m wearing them around the house today to evaluate comfort. Any reactions?

I’ve also been looking for a new rose gold watch that has some presence but is less chunky than my old one from a few years ago (that also tends to pinch my arm). I like this Olivia Burton and have already worn it! But I ordered the Skagen with the grey stone face and grey band and could see wearing this in the winter. Not sure if I can justify two rose gold watches. But I have an old Philip Stein that has gotten quite beat up (the crystal is badly scratched and will cost a lot to replace), so I could be talked into justifying another watch purchase.

Also, I was keeping an eye out for a new pair of distinctive yet not dangly silver earrings — and found these Nadri circle ones at Nordstrom. I love them and have already worn them twice.

Feedback welcome!
