Alaska truly is a beautiful state. I was there on a cruise in 2007 and remember being in awe at the height of those mountains, and the beauty of the landscape.

The scenery is absolutely breath taking...I wish I could walk that path through the woods... Kittens are cute...I am just not a cat person but rather, dogs...However with an 11 year old begging for kittens, I can understand getting them.. Best for a great report fromt the vet...
The pictures are gorgeous. My DD found two kittens abandoned in Pittsburgh two summers ago. They were so tiny and had to be fed with a tiny dropper then a bottle . She was taking a summer class and was pretty lonely as none of her friends were around. She totally enjoyed having the kittens to nurture. She did a great job. She was not allowed pets in her apartment so eventually had to give them up. She found a home for them, the Mom of one of her friends was looking for two kittens as hers had recently died. Nice thing is that DD can visit them. She is now living in NYC and would like to get a kitten , her apartment allows pets this time I hope that you get a good report from the vet and DS loves them :)) Let us know what their names are!

We are arguing over names! My choice is Smoke and Mirrors, but DS likes the names they come with - Melody and Harmony. We have a long list of others too! Suggestions welcome.
Great news on the kittens - I like simple names for pets - the names they have now are 3 syllables so that seems like it would be tough for them to learn. Beautiful Alaskan pics - thanks for sharing!
Kittens! Adopting the siblings is the best thing to do! Our sibling cats are almost 4 years old now but affection thye feel for each other is not diminishing with the age. There is so much joy in watching them together - especially when they groom each other faces at the same time. Priceless! Can't wait to see your new family addition! The pictures are beautiful - you are really lucky to live in such amazing place (even though the winter is a bit too long )
Texstyle, totally agree! I want names that are easy to say... But DS does not - he bought them all pink stuff and wants them to be girly names. Go figure. We've come up with:
Salt and Pepper
Truth and Justice
Smoke and Mirrors
Rhyme and Reason
Rhythm and Blues
Peace and Love
Angie, we were actually begging DH for a puppy, but the reality is that we don't have time for the work involved right now. Kona will continue to be spoiled rotten, no worries there! She is good with cats so hopefully everyone will bond well.
