Remember this, when I mentioned that I had a big leak in the ceiling of my old apartment from a bust pipe?
And then - I don't think I mentioned it - we had another similar leak in the kitchen ceiling shortly before we moved.
(I've had this happen in every residence at least once while I was living there - multiple leaks/floods in the apartments I lived in during college, a burst/leaky dishwasher that destroyed kitchen floors in my parents' house and then later on a shower that started leaking under the floor, and then the HUGE flood of doom where several inches of water poured in under the doors and through the ceiling a week after moving into an apartment... and then the two in B's and my former residence.)
Well, I thought I had beaten my karma by moving to a top-floor residence in our new place. But it's windy as heck and raining cats and dogs - I had to have B. park my car because I couldn't see well enough to back up. Finally got home (I've been away at the YLF meetup and then pet-sitting for the past week) and... the roof is leaking water into our kitchen through our kitchen ceiling.
As it so happens, our ceilings were painted yesterday.
Jeez louise. I feel badly for B. living with me, as water leaks seem to follow me regardless of where I go. He said that I should probably try living in Arizona!
