I was housebound most of last week  - sadly I got the flu on holiday and spent the rest of the week recovering at home.  Fashion was put aside.

In the weekend I did have a small wardrobe edit and removed an old favourite dress (I was so sad to do so but it was pilling, the zipper had given up the ghost and the seams were falling apart).  I also removed a sequin jumper that I decided just is not me, and a scarf I have never ever worn after two years of owning.  The second two are off to the thrift shop (opshop).

I am now trying to wear the small  number of winter pieces outside my capsule - there are a few up for review.

1)  My leather jacket and skinny jeans.  I think this is a pass but I just do not love this leather jacket.  I feel it is not quite my style, however I think I will retain it.

2) Some Uniqlo pants.  I also never feel fab in these and have decided to downgrade to at home wear.  This sweater is one of my most worn pieces as loungewear, casual wear (it was in the 30x30 but I think not pictured).  I did not mind this combo for at home wear.

3) More work from home.  My old tweed coat, a black turtleneck and my black moto boots.  I am not wild about this look at all but the boots are too practical to pass on - they work on soft muddy ground.  This outfit feels like the wrong neutrals on me.

I have two more items I will try and wear this week to evaluate whether to keep or pass on.  A black pencil skirt (I want to look as good as Jane and Srah look in their ones but I am not sure I can achieve that) and some black boots that I have owned for seven years and am just "over".

I decided I definitely want to add in over the next few months the following for late winter/spring refreshers:
- Handbag
- New aviator sunglassses - gold frame
- two off white tops, one with a pattern for wearing under jackets
- new jeans

That will be more than enough given the price of bags, jeans and glasses sadly.  I do like to support local retailers 80% of the time but these items can be expensive.

Thanks - sorry for the ramble:)
